Homeopathy for Babies, Children, and Teenagers
Homeopathy is safe for your whole family especially your children. It is ideal for babies and children because they are full of energy. Homeopathy is perfect for building up those little immune systems using natural substances. Being a mother herself Melisa understands the distress a parent may feel when their child is unwell. She has been able to use her parental knowledge and homeopathic training to feel confident when treating children.
There are many remedies to help relieve the discomfort related to colic and constipation. Homeopathy is also helpful for sniffles and blocked noses that can leave parents feeling distressed. Not to mention the emotional outbursts of the tantrums experienced when during the "terrible two's and three's."
The homeopathic consultation is also an excellent way for children and teenagers to speak about their feelings in a safe non-judgmental environment. Homeopathy can also give support to them during difficult periods in life. It can help children cope when there has been a breakdown in the family unit such as divorce, death or separation. For teenagers, the natural occurrence of puberty may lead them to feel shy and unable to cope with the changes in their bodies. This is particularly true for girls who have reached menarche.
Melisa is happy to make home visits in North Austin areas (Round Rock, Teravista, Georgetown, and Cedar Park).

Children with Attachment Disorders
During her training Melisa wrote a research proposal on the possible effects of homeopathy on children who are diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). Melisa found that homeopathy may potentially help children deal with the separation and loss of a primary care giver. She also identified certain remedies that may help address the violent outbursts these children may exhibit. Melisa plans to continue her research in this area by undertaking a Master Degree in Learning Disorders and Behavior Disorder next year.
